What happens when a Canadian entrepreneur teams up with a Serbian co-founder and decide to do a startup together?

This is how pinpic was born, out of the discussions about holidays and photography between Urooj Qureshi and Alen Ankajcan and they set up to build a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover and book photography services, on-demand, around the world — online or from a mobile phone or tablet. Basically, it’s like Uber but for photographers.

They have a global community of more than 400 photographers dedicated to creating photographic memories for pinpic users worldwide. While they focus on holiday and trip photography, the photographers offer a growing number specialties including holidays & trips, professional portraits, lifestyle, wedding and so on.

Customers pay through pinpics’s secure payment structure when they book a photo session. Photographers receive payment through pinpic at least 24 hours after the job is marked complete by both parties.

Currently bootstrapped and based in Timisoara, Romania, the team has started a Kickstarter project where they are aiming to raise awareness about the startup and prepare for the launch of the mobile application.
