Said Brian Young, Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong, “Many thanks to Frank-Jürgen Richter for the kind invitation. It was a terrific honour and pleasure to moderate and speak on such a distinguished panel for the hugely successful Horasis China Conference in Binh Duong. I was joined by excellent interlocutors in Akira Tsuchiya (President, The Global Institute), Zhang Ran (Assistant Professor, Durham University), and Urs Unkauf (Federal Managing Director, German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade), in a wide-ranging conversation that took us from the role of archaeology in informing contemporary geopolitical analysis, to Sino-Japanese-American people-to-people exchanges, from the Thai Kra water canal to the friction between bottom-up and top-down growth in countries trying to escape the mid-income trap.”

Horasis hosts the yearly Horasis Global Meeting as well as the Horasis India Meeting, Horasis China Meeting and the Horasis Asia Meeting.
